Eligibility: Gents Members with a WHS Handicap
Qualification:
Selection is automatic after playing a monthly medal, nominated by the Competition Secretary. For the inaugural year (2022) the top 16 gross scores will be selected and in subsequent years the top 15 gross scores and the holder of the Scratch KO Cup from the previous year will be entered into the knockout element of the competition. If a player wishes to opt out then the next player on the list in gross order will be invited.
Format: Scratch Match Play. Players are drawn based on seeding in Exact Handicap Index order (e.g. lowest HI – Seed 1 will play HI – seed 16 and so forth). The competition will be displayed on the Club Website, via Club V1 notifications and on the Gents Notice Board.
No additional entry fee is charged.
Dates are set for when each round must be played, extensions can only be granted by Competition Secretary in exceptional circumstances. Failure to play by the due date may result in one or both players being disqualified. In the event that a match is all square after 18 holes, sudden death is played from the 1st Tee!
