The Europro Tour CPG Classic in Support of England & Wales Blind Golf

The Event took place Wed, Jul 13 – Fri, Jul 15, and was preceded on Tues Jul 12th by a Pro-am Event which was very memorable with Our Captains Max Bates, Ailsa Lines, Chris Daynes and Q Hotels Professional Rhys Thompson (Slaley Hall) Won!

The Main Event was a great 3 day event with Dermot McElroy becoming a PGA EuroPro Tour champion for the second time in his career; the Northern Irishman has catapulted to the throne of the Order of Merit.

Club member Chris Haynes conducted himself superbly with rounds of -3, -3 & +2 for a total of -4 .

It was great to see such an event held at our own club, and the ability to see how such a well presented course was played by so many professional golfers.

Great credit for Q Hotels in bringing the event to our links, and for the Golf Team in seeing it through.

High praise was received from many of the professionals regarding the quality of the course and much thanks must go to the greenstaff.
