A total of 29 Seniors took part in the Annual Captain’s Away Day, which was at Kilworth Springs GC. It was chosen by Andy Wood as it is a course he knows well and it proved to be an excellent choice.
The usual fare of bacon baps and tea / coffee was made available as we arrived and Roy Sanders and Chris Daynes made sure the raffle was well supported – a grand total of £245 being raised for the Captain’s Charity. (where was Bob Clarke’s 60 pence!!)
Mike Whitington and Ian Nisbet prepared the draw for the day, and also completed the score cards post golf – many thanks. The post golf meal of steak and mushroom pie and apple crumble was excellent and appreciated by all attendees.
