I was honoured to be elected Captain of Belton Woods Seniors Section for 2019 and delighted to have John Browne as my Vice Captain.  Together with the rest of the committee we aim to encourage our members to enjoy their golf in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

We have a membership of over 70 Seniors; our golfers have an age upwards from 55, their handicaps from single figures upwards.

We meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the Claret Jug from around 7.45am in the summer and 8.15am in the winter.  A random draw takes place which enables our members to play with a variety of partners.

There is also a very competitive side to our society, we have every month, a Medal and a Stableford qualifier, both of which are organised using the same random draw. We have various other competitions throughout the year including  Away Days.

Everyone has the chance to play in the 20 matches, which are played against other clubs around the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire area.

My choice of charity this year is the Epilepsy Society, a charity that helps support over 500,000 people in the UK affected by the issues brought about by this most distressing of illnesses.

Our website has fast become an essential tool for us to communicate to our members, please have a look.

If you see me around the Club please say hello. If you are interested in joining you can contact me on 07786 512425.
