LINDA COCHRANE – CLUB CHAMPS WINNERS

Belton Woods ladies played in the Linda Cochrane Club Championships Competition
which took place over both Saturday and Sunday, 29th/30th July. The first round on Saturday was played on the Woods Course, with nineteen ladies taking part.
The course played well and the weather stayed fine, resulting in some goods scores. Saturday’s results saw Pam Watson leading in the gross tournament with 87 and Kim Davies leading the field in the nett tournament with 72. All to play for the next day. Sunday’s Competition played on the Lakes Course proved a bit more difficult with the strong wind a major factor.
Vice-Captain Jan Machin took the Club Champs Gross Title with an overall score of 94+90=184, pipping last year’s Club Champ, Pam Watson by one shot.
Kim Davies took the Club Champs Nett Title with 72+78=150. Well played and Congratulations ladies. Trophies will be presented at the Annual Dinner Dance later in the year.
