Congratulation to our Junior Section on retaining “The Match” played on Wednesday 26th October. This is the annual competition Men v Ladies v Seniors v Juniors. Our team comprising of Chris Haynes, Ryan Smith, Josh Stevens & Jake Craddock.

Very well done Jono Stapleton for tying joint 1st in the Men’s Golfer of the Year, eventually losing by 1 point in a final round decider.

Huge congratulations to Alex Scorrer on winning Men’s club Championships best Nett

Congratulations to Chris Haynes for winning Junior Club Championships best gross and Josh Stevens for winning best nett with a superb nett 64, 9 over par and 9 under handicap.

Congratulations to Ben Richards on winning the Men’s section Secretary’s Trophy, beating fellow junior Alexander Hemstock in the final played on Saturday 10th September from the white tees of the Lakes course. A great achievement was also seeing 3 club juniors competing in the final 8 places, with Alex beating brother Matthew in the quarter-final stage.

Josh Mackey scored an excellent 35 points at the Forest Pines open on Saturday 10th September, coming joint 4th overall in the event.

Alex Scorer scored an outstanding 45 stableford points winning the men monthly stableford in August. Alex also represented Belton Woods men’s team in the friendly match at Ruddington Grange. in August

Congratulations to Ryan Smith on several achievements so far this year, including selection for the Belton Woods men’s A Team, winning a county event at Burghley Park, and being selected for County coaching.

Massive congratulations to Junior Captain Chris Haines for his first hole in one on the Lakes 11th hole during the “Captains Cup” on Saturday 12th March. Playing off the white tees into a breeze Chris hit the perfect 4 iron to hole his tee shot. He then went on to win his match with playing partner and 2010 Past Captain Tony Waldren.
